Description: We all want to be heard - and with a bit of knowledge and some practice, we can lift our voices safely, clearly, confidently and sustainably in a way that truly represents us and improves communication. This World Voice Day workshop is a playful and practical introduction to voice training. By understanding how our voices actually work, we can use muscle training and breathing techniques to get our voices to respond to our imagination, not how our habits dictate. You will learn: - Anatomy and physiology of the voice - How to express yourself as you wish and not revert to habit - Breathing and releasing tension - Speaking freely with clear and varied tone - Keeping your voice in good working order This workshop is aimed at anyone who uses their voice and wants to speak more easily with less strain. It will relate to using our voices in a variety of settings, from engaging live audiences to recording videos and podcasts.
