Voice Consultation Camp

Description: A free voice consultation camp is organized for faculty members of SRM Institute of Science and Technology, a private deemed university in Chennai, India by the Department of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology, SRM IST. Faculty can register online to access services of a team of speech language pathologist and ENT specialist during the camp conducted in the last week of April (26 April to 30 April, 2021). This camp would focus on creating awareness amongst professionals, especially teachers, who are dependent on their usage of voice. The current pandemic situation has placed increased demands on teaching faculties on several aspects including their vocal usage. Faculty members of the university can have their voice assessed, seek responses to any queries regarding their voice usage, and benefit from strategies to improve the efficiency of voice during the camp. The registrations for the camp will open following the inauguration of activities of the World Voice Day 2021 on 15th April 2021. Prof. Dr. A. Sundaram, Dean (Medical), SRM IST, will deliver the inaugural address and Prof. Lt. Col. Dr. A. Ravikumar, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Medical & Health Sciences, SRM IST, will deliver the key note address highlighting the theme of this year 'One World, Many Voices'.
