GUEST LECTURE: Future’s Past: Connecting the Dots between Historical and Modern Voice Pedagogy

Description: Online Event via Zoom Dr. Lori Sen will be hosting Dr. Joshua Glasner as a guest speaker in her Graduate Voice Pedagogy class at the University of Maryland School of Music. Dr. Joshua Glasner will be giving a lecture entitled "Future's Past: Connecting the Dots between Historical and Modern Voice Pedagogy" on Monday, April 19th at 9:30 am. The lecture will share recent study related to historical recordings of singers. We will discuss how we as voice professionals might use historical recordings to inform our interpretation of historical voice pedagogy and our application of evidence-based voice pedagogy in the 21st century.
