Description: We propose to play a game that we have called "THE SINGING COLOURS" with a vast cross-section of society of different ages and professional backgrounds. All participants will be made to listen to selected 5 songs of Indian classical music of different genres with their eyes closed. The first colour they think of while listening to each song is to be noted by them. At the end of the day we will analyze any associations that we may find between different genres of songs with colours and if age, gender and professional background effect these choices. We hope to sensitize each participant about the importance of voice in our life and also talk about how music effects our mood and general well being.
