Webinar on “Focus on your voice” and “Voice Quiz”

Description: Indian Speech & Hearing Association (ISHA) has come forward along with Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education & Research, Chennai to observe this world voice day by organizing a webinar titled “Focus on your voice” ‘Focus on your voice’ is the theme set forth globally. Three eminent resources across three cities of India: Chennai, Pune and Kolkata will share their thoughts on the topic. They have wisely divided themselves to offer three different dimensions to the topic. One, on an elite group – singers, two – on an educated group – the teachers, and three- on the voice of the common man. A voice to cast a meaningful impact on this society and be relevant to people at large. About the speakers: Dr. Prakash Boominathan, a life member of ISHA, Alumnus of AIISH and currently Professor and Head of Dept. of Speech Language and Hearing Sciences, Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research, Chennai will talk on singers’ voice – elite professional voice users. Followed by, Dr. Namita Joshi, also a life member of ISHA, and alumnus of AIISH. She currently is a Consultant at KEM hospital and a guest faculty at Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune. She will talk on teachers’ voice – professional voice users. The third speaker is Shri. Chandan Saha, life member of ISHA, alumnus of AIISH, and a reputed and successful entrepreneur in the city of joy, Kolkata. Mr. Chandan will address on the importance of voice from the point of view of the general public covering several non-professional voice users.
