Description: World Voice Day has been organised yearly since 1999 to demonstrate the importance of human voice in our everyday life as one of the most important media of communication, which is also of interest to numerous fields of science. On 16 April, concerts, scientific lectures, and hundreds of other programmes are being organised around the world. The Hungarian State Opera joined World Voice Day in 2014, thanks to Dr. Krisztina Mészáros, PhD and Éva Bátori, professional leaders of WVD. The patron of this year’s World Voice Day of the Opera is Prof. Dr. med. habil. László Rovó, Rector of the University of Szeged, Clinic Director of the Department of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology and Head- Neck Surgery of the Albert Szent-Györgyi Health Centre, Oto-Rhino-Laryngologist, audiologist, head- neck surgeon, and phoniatrician.
