Actions for prevention and promotion of vocal health in Marilia (SP-Brazil)

Description: In commemoration of the World Voice Day, teachers and students of the Speech-Language Pathology course carried out actions to promote Vocal Health with the implementation of psychomotor activities and a theater about the History of Voice with about 80 children in the Municipal School of Early Childhood Education Betti Marina would partner with the Unit of Family Health (USF) in Marília. The teachers and auxiliaries of the school and the community received the "Be a Friend of Your Voice" brochure made available by the Speech Therapy Councils and the Brazilian Society of Speech Therapy. The activities were developed by the integration of the courses of Phonoaudiology Community (3rd year) and the Voice Discipline (2nd year) of the Speech-Language Pathology course. In addition, the Artistic-Cultural Happy Hour event "VI Pratas da Casa" of Speech-Language Pathology course was held, with the artistic presentation of the Speech-Language Pathology students, as well as patients in the area of Voice Disorders. These activities, in addition to favoring interaction between the students of the four years of the Speech-Language Pathology Course, provide learning for students and the general population!
